            As Bukovinian World Organization we work for the past, the present and the future. In order not to let the past be forgotten we support all initiatives which show us something of our great past and which could make it alive through words. This is the motive why we supported the enterprise of our comunities to publish Iskor Books. The following compatriots did publish up to now Iskor books or are very near to have them published: Radautz, Gurahumora, Kimpolung, Dorna and Sereth. To our regret we do not know about such an initiative regarding Suczawa. Is there realy nobody who could take such an initative in hand? An Iskor book is the only remaining documentation for the future. Also smaller comunities are requested to write down their memories to leave them for posterity. Dear friends, this is the last chance to do something in this field.
            In the same sense we started the Index of our "Stimme" With it we open the opportunity for all who are interested to look for and find material in the up to now 613 editions of this monthly newspaper. We are also starting to organize a Bukowina library in various languages on the premises of the World Org. of the Bukowinian Jews, in Tel Aviv, 12 Arnon St. Anybody who has interesting material and is ready to enrich our library is most welcome to bring us their interesting books.
            At present we are very bussy with our Help organization and paralel to it the steady efforts to find financial means in order to be able to continue our work. Already there are 80 Bukovinian elder people who are dependent on  permanent financial aid in order to finish month by month their living needs. Loneliness, Sickness and expensive medicines are often the reason why they have reached the border of poverty. It is our duty of honor to provide for them and guard them from the financial precipice. This is the reason why we have to maintain contact with all our fellow country-men in the whole world. The personal contacts to all our communties should be enlarged to the USA, to South Amerika and Europe. In this the Internet can prove helpful.
            Furthermore will the net provide fast information to the many people of the younger generation who are searching for roots and family tree. The Internet is the media of the future. We have the moral duty to prepare the material: History - past of the Bukovinian Jews, Personalities, Biographies, events, Literature, art, Holocaust, deportation, Transnistria, the contribution of the Bukovinians to the establishment of Israel and other countries, success strories of the Bukovinian fellow country men, everything which is exciting and interesting. Every Bucovinian who has something to tell, not important in which part of the world the events and the life itself has taken him, is kindly invited to do so. We will do our best to enrichen permanently our web-side wiht
your stories.
            The responsibility for the web-site took two of our colleags. The Chief redactor is Mr. Elieser Appel and as co-worker offered his services Mr. Uli Friedberg-Valureanu.  The Bucovinian Internet Web-site gains in importance with the generation change. We see therefore in our Internet Project a very important initiativs, an effective tool in the battle against forgetting, to make it short: an investment into the future.
